Algorithm Development Engineer with Matlab experience required by dynamic medical devices company to develop innovative and robust algorithms. The Algorithm Engineer will use finite elements and the techniques of inverse problems to model low-frequency electrical current in the body and other measures, reconstruct conductivity distributions, and develop analysis of the resulting image series to present clinically relevant measures.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD Degree in biomedical, computer, electrical, or electronics engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in MATLAB (essential)
  • Experience with C/C++, Python
  • Experience with Git, issue tracking, continuous integration
  • Experience with image segmentation, time series signal processing, 3D medical image data analysis, image classification, video classification would be ideal
  • Experience within an ISO regulated industry would be beneficial
  • Proactive, a team player, and has excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Define, design and test robust data analysis processes
  • Use finite elements and the techniques of inverse problems to model low-frequency electrical current in the body and other measures, reconstruct conductivity distributions, and develop
    analysis of the resulting image series to present clinically relevant measures
  • Liaise with Engineering and Management teams
  • Analyse data from clinical studies and healthy volunteers
  • Support the full development life cycle – requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, verification, validation and documentation
  • Contribute to the eventual implementation of your algorithms in our device interface
  • Participate in code and design review procedures
  • Contribute and communicate effectively within a remote cross-functional team
