Analog Design Engineer required by market-leading semiconductor multinational at their Cork site. 

You will get the opportunity to work on the development of next generation products for Automotive LiDAR required for ADAS and Autonomous Driving vehicles. You should have a strong background in analog and mixed-signal design. Ideally with experience in sensor read-out circuits and systems. The role will involve reviewing and contributing to architectural development and pixel design using leading edge CMOS fabrication technology. This position will suit an experienced analog or mixed-signal design engineer who is looking to work in a new and dynamic area with an innovative market leading company poised for rapid growth.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering – Microelectronics, Optoelectronics, Physics or Electrical
  • 5+ years’ experience in analog or mixed-signal analog IC Design
  • Experience designing analog or analog mixed signal circuitry and layout
  • Experience working on a project from chip specification to tapeout with a continuous track record of tapeouts and increasing roles of responsibility
  • Expertise in the use of industry standard integrated circuit design, simulation and verification tools (Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, etc)
  • Semiconductor device physics knowledge is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team

Advantageous:

  • Experience with ISO 26262 and IATF 16949
  • Automotive functional safety
  • Layout of SiPM and/or SPAD sensors
  • SPAD quenching & TDC circuitry
  • Customer interface experience
  • Working with test and product engineers to support test development and ramp to production
  • Experience with test and measurement requirements and ability to prescribe the testing required to validate fabricated designs
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members in design tools and AMS design
