Control System Engineer is required to provide design, maintenance and support to complex electromechanical systems by global leading medical technology client in Dublin.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Lvl 8 or higher) in Electronic, Electrical, Software or Computing Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role.
  • Be competent in control system engineering in the automation and overall operation of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Be familiar with software applications, including scripting (Python, Perl, VBA or other languages)
  • A true leader who can work in a cross functional high performing engineering team.
  • Be passionate and engaged to understand both business and user needs in driving solutions.
  • Flexible to work across multiple functional boundaries to deliver the desired outcome.
  • Take ownership, accountability, and responsibility when required.
  • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal skills are a must.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be knowledgeable in control systems for complex electromechanical analysers / systems.
  • Carry out Investigations, segment, and root cause issues down to component level utilizing the multi functional team
  • Be able to work across multiple technologies and disciplines integrating fluidics, electronics, optics and software.
  • Act as the interface between the hardware & software teams to coordinate integration of solutions into the analyser architecture.
  • Be responsible for functional specifications which enable the wider Engineering team to understand the detailed design of the analyser.
