Cost Accountant
Job Description
Cost Accountant required for on-site role with growing IoT company in Co. Clare. As a key member of the Group Finance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the Group’s financial and cost accounting systems. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across subsidiaries, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, insightful & timely financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting and analysing data on the company’s operational costs
- Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate differences.
- Drive consistency and standardisation of cost accounting
- Carrying out margin analysis,
- Management, development and maintenance of the financial systems to meet the changing requirements of the organisation, while ensuring the development of procedures for these systems
- Review current interfaces and propose solutions to streamline and reduce manual intervention
- Performing account reconciliations
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
- Support finance projects and process improvements.
- Liaise with external auditors and other professional advisors, as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- Relevant hands-on experience.
- Excellent IT and systems experience; advanced excel and PowerBI
- Excellent analytical and data management skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a good communicator, both written and verbal.
