Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant required for on-site role with growing IoT company in Co. Clare. As a key member of the Group Finance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the Group’s financial and cost accounting systems. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across subsidiaries, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, insightful & timely financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analysing data on the company’s operational costs
• Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate differences.
• Drive consistency and standardisation of cost accounting
• Carrying out margin analysis,
• Management, development and maintenance of the financial systems to meet the changing requirements of the organisation, while ensuring the development of procedures for these systems
• Review current interfaces and propose solutions to streamline and reduce manual intervention
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
• Support finance projects and process improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors and other professional advisors, as required.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
• Relevant hands-on experience.
• Excellent IT and systems experience; advanced excel and PowerBI
• Excellent analytical and data management skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a good communicator, both written and verbal.
