Digital Design Architect
Job Description
Digital Design Architect required by Semiconductor multinational in Dublin to drive concept development for cutting-edge Sensor IPs across platforms. This is a senior-level opportunity to lead innovation, solve technical challenges and influence the digital architecture roadmap in one of the most exciting segments of the semiconductor industry: Automotive.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and architect next-generation Sensor IPs for automotive microcontrollers

Translate complex stakeholder requirements into hardware/software specs and innovative design strategies

Ensure functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and production readiness are integrated from the ground up

Specify digital requirements for analog IPs and ensure tight analog/digital co-design

Own technical documentation (user manuals, data sheets) and support safety analysis deliverables

Work cross-functionally with system engineers, application experts, design, verification, validation and safety teams

Conduct technical risk management across IP, subsystem and SoC levels
REQUIREMENTS:

You are a strategic thinker, a systems-level problem solver and a highly experienced digital designer with a passion for excellence and innovation.

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar

15+ years of experience in chip architecture or digital design

In-depth knowledge of mixed-signal SoC architectures, automotive microcontrollers and DSP design

Experience translating system specs into implementable digital architectures

Familiarity with analog domain principles and analog/digital integration

Proven ability to write documentation such as user manuals and define data sheet values

Knowledge of functional safety, cybersecurity standards and DFMEA is a plus
