EHS Advisor required for key role with growing consumer electronics company in South Dublin to take responsibility for EHS for local & international sites
Requirements:
- A recognised BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Proven experience as EHS Advisor
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, organisational and presentation skills
- Decisive, self motivated with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Passionate about the Environmental, Health & Safety Profession
- Be committed and enthusiastic about promoting high standards
- Confident, self-managing, able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:

Lead and drive the Health & Safety function

Develop and execute health and safety plans in our workplace according to legal guidelines

Prepare our health & safety system to meet the requirements of ISO 45001

Integrate our ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system

Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety across all sites in multiple countries

Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law in multiple countries

Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention

Manage the Induction of all new staff on the Production and Warehouse teams

Carry out Manual handling for all new staff in Ireland and existing staff whose manual handling is due to expire

Implement environmental policies and practices

Develop an environmental management system to meet ISO 14001 requirements

Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
