Electrical Design Engineering Lead required by growing Irish company in Westmeath – for the development and delivery of electrical designs to facilitate the manufacture of Robotic automated equipment. The role includes design, materials sourcing, and procurement. You will also act as Joint Team Lead – building teams & apprentices and assisting in debug & test activities where required. Site work & travel on occasion.
You will get the opportunity to work on large projects within multiple sectors, including medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, food & beverage, plastics and consumer goods sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Electrical designs for Robotic automation projects
- Detail Electrical schematics for build
- Produce Electrical Drawings
- Source electrical components for designs
- Create test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs
- Assist in electrical debug of systems
- Liaise with customers & suppliers
- Meet project delivery deadlines
- Lead the team
Requirements:

General Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree / Diploma, ideally with a manufacturing content

Minimum of 3 years industry experience involving electrical design

Familiarity with m/c elements such as: Electrical Controls, AC/DC Motors, Servo Motors, Invertors, general panel equipment, drives and pneumatics

Experience of using software packages: Eplan, Solid works, Microsoft office

Basic knowledge & understanding of PLC programming and controls methodologies
