Electronic Quality Technician with experience in an electronics manufacturing environment required for permanent role with growing R&D IoT multinational in Wexford.

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for Quality Control, equipment maintenance & calibration.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
  • Experience in electronic testing is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality electronic products
  • Labview is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design Verification Test and Production Verification Test: Execute comprehensive test plans protocols for electronic components and systems with the support of the developers. This includes functional, performance, and reliability testing.

  • Quality Control: Sample testing according to a Production Test Plan. Adapt automated test programs and create new jigs.

  • Incoming Inspection (Material): Check incoming good matches the order details and comply to the drawings.

  • Supplier Quality Management: Check that all ECR of incoming goods have been implemented.

  • Process Improvement and Internal Audits: Continuously evaluate and enhance quality assurance processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in electronic product manufacturing.

  • Manage the returns: Investigate and analyse electronic product failures and defects to identify root causes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop 8D reports. Repairs the units whenever possible.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of quality assessments, test results and compliance  documentation. Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and improvement initiatives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in electronic product quality.

  • Laboratory Maintenance & Calibration: Check that the equipment are functional and inquire repairs or purchasing of new equipment when needed. Repair jigs, Test Machines, and equipment whenever possible. Manage the regular calibration of the equipment.
