Test Development Manager required by market-leading IoT company in Co. Clare. Working as part of the Test Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of test engineers & technicians in the design, assembly and support of Test Equipment for global industrial electronics customers. 


  • Manage a team of test engineers & technicians
  • Work closely with Operations team in ongoing support and development of test capability
  • Be lead test focal point / representative for escalations and quality issues
  • Manage test engineering change process
  • Lead continuous process improvement and optimisation in test processes, driving key performance metrics (Yield, UPH, Order Cycle Time, Cost, Scrap, DPPM, CPK etc.)
  • Development of Engineering & Technician skillsets through personal development plans
  • Management of preventative maintenance and audit plans for factory test equipment
  • Participate in new projects for global implementation
  • Work closely with Test Engineering, Hardware, Software & manufacturing teams 


  • Third Level Qualification in Electronic Engineering
  • >3 years experience managing technical team
  • 5+ years relevant experience in high volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing and developing technical teams
  • Significant practical & demonstrable RF experience and familiarity with VNA’s, Scalar Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, RTSA’s, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Power Splitters, Directional Couplers, Circulators, Isolators, Attenuators, Coaxial Connections, Antenna Systems, Shielded Test Enclosures, Interference Investigation
  • Digital and analogue electronics knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with In-Circuit Test Equipment (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of test software packages including Labview
  • Working with & debugging Electromechanical Fixtures
  • Hardware fault diagnosis and analysis
  • Supporting NPI projects
  • Problem solving skills, independent and team based, essential
  • Strong documentation & communication skills
  • Must work well in a multi-functional team environment
  • Engineering Project management experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of energy and enthusiasm with a strong work ethic
  • Flexible, adaptable with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a Team
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed delivery schedules
