Embedded Electronics Engineer required by growing Irish IoT company in Co. Clare. This role can facilitate full time on site or a hybrid likely to be 40% from home and 60% onsite in Shannon, County Clare once the onboarding period is sucessfully completed.
Requirements:

Degree in Electronic Engineering or software development

3+ years’ experience in Embedded Software Development

Significant and relevant software development skills for embedded microcontrollers

Must have excellent communication and interaction skills

Familiarity with some of the following standards is ideal: FCC / IC / RED / ATEX / EMC / UKCA / CE

Experience with Atmel/PIC microcontrollers

Solid working knowledge of microcontroller interfacing including UI development (Graphic LCD, button, LEDs, Sensor’s etc)

Experience in SPI, I2C communications and wireless communications such as: GSM, GPRS, ISM, Mbus, WiFi, Sigfox, LoRa, ZigBee, Bluetooth

Understand digital and analogue circuit design, simulation, & analysis as appropriate to the project

Be up to date with regulatory and industry compliance requirements appropriate to the target market
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing some aspects of the software roadmap
- Assisting the project team in distilling requirements into clear, actionable work packages
- Ensuring project artefacts e.g. documentation are delivered at each release point
- Operating in the project team in a co-operative, respectful manner
- Assisting in the planning, scheduling and delivery of software releases
- Ensuring that all work and tasks carried out are consistent and compliant with our Quality Management System
