Embedded Test Engineer

Embedded Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience in embedded systems testing required for hybrid role in Co. Offaly. Joining a collaborative team of engineers you will play a key role in testing firmware, hardware and software products for automotive customers. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded systems testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or C for test automation.

ADVANTAGEOUS:

• Experience with automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, A-SPICE.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop, implement and execute test plans for embedded hardware, firmware and software products.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and system-level testing of automotive monitoring and control systems.
• Design and develop automated test scripts for embedded systems using Python, C, or other scripting languages.
• Conduct hardware validation testing, including environmental stress testing and durability assessments.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and firmware engineers to diagnose and troubleshoot system failures.
• Develop test setups such as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) environments.
• Document test procedures, results and defects while ensuring clear communication with development teams.
• Provide feedback to improve design robustness and manufacturability based on test outcomes.
