EVA/Video Design Verification Engineer required by Cork multinational to play a key role in ensuring the functionality, performance & reliability of multimedia hardware—helping to bring cutting-edge IP cores to life in mobile SoCs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with architects and design teams to understand complex multimedia hardware (video encoders/decoders and computer vision IP).

  • Develop, implement, and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog/UVM.

  • Define and execute comprehensive verification plans across block, subsystem, and SoC levels.

  • Contribute to micro-architecture reviews, ensuring high-quality, scalable design.

  • Integrate and run system-level tests, compliance test suites, and directed test cases.

  • Build and maintain automation infrastructure for continuous integration and testing.

  • Interface with software, firmware, emulation, and post-silicon teams to ensure smooth integration and debug.

  • Document technical features and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in Design Verification using UVM/SystemVerilog and assertion-based methodologies.

  • Strong experience with complex SoC or subsystem verification.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and tools like Make for automation.

  • Exposure to DDR/cache protocol verification.

  • Familiarity with firmware or driver development in C++.

  • Knowledge of verification tools and methodologies including simulations, regressions and bug tracking.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

ADVANTAGEOUS:

  • Formal verification exposure.
  • Power-aware simulation experience.
  • Knowledge of performance and power verification.
  • Experience with Gate-Level Simulation (GLS) and post-silicon debug.
  • Exposure to successful chip tapeouts and end-to-end verification cycles.
