Lead Electronic Design Engineer holds a pivotal role in applied research, design, development, testing, manufacturing & documentation of products & systems. Collaborating closely with customers, you will discern equipment/system requisites to ensure seamless integration and functionality within specific applications. Leveraging research methodologies, you will scrutinize and validate design or theoretical concepts, refining them for practical implementation.

As Lead Electronic Design Engineer, you will provide strategic direction & leadership to engineers & engineering technicians involved in program-specific tasks. You will adeptly engage with senior-level professionals, both internally & externally, fostering productive relationships and driving collaborative efforts toward shared objectives. With a keen focus on innovation and excellence, you will play a key role in shaping the future trajectory of the group.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) 8+ years’ experience in an Electronic Design role
  • Experience in the design of power electronics for medical devices is ideal
  • Experience in the creation of IP
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience bringing products from initial concept / prototype through to market delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong negotiation skills 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design & analysis of systems, products & subsystems/circuits, ensuring alignment with specifications, budget constraints & quality benchmarks
  • Diagnose issues spanning design, field performance, reliability & test yields of products, offering strategic recommendations and implementing corrective measures as necessary
  • Assume accountability for the seamless integration and success of products/systems within customers’ applications, proactively identifying and addressing any hurdles
  • Adhere rigorously to engineering protocols, including the Product Development Process and ECO process, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within cross-functional design teams
  • Collaborate closely to assess the technological readiness for launching new products, leveraging insights to enhance product offerings
  • Foster synergies with various cross-functional teams such as NPI, purchasing, quality assurance, program & project management, finance, safety and production to optimize processes and outcomes
  • Cultivate peer-to-peer relationships within AE, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to innovation and success
