Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer required to work on the design of innovative life-saving medical devices in Galway

REQUIREMENTS:

• Level 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline).

• 1-3+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design Engineering or equivalent.

• Proficiency in Solidworks (3D modelling & 2D drawing).

• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and multi-component tolerance analysis.

• Proven experience in Plastic Part Design.

• Experience with Design Verification Testing and qualification.

• Knowledge of CFD & FEA Simulation software (e.g., Ansys).

• Experience in the Medical Device industry is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to the design, development and testing of Medical Devices.

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing processes and equipment for these products.

• Document and follow company procedures for product and process development.

• Support product design and development activities and ensure seamless collaboration with other departments.

• Communicate effectively through technical reports and presentations.
