Mechanical Design Technician required by growing industrial electronics multinational in Wexford. You will work with a local & global design team on the design of innovative products for global markets. The role involves networking with overseas partners and will require a degree of travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide CAD support to Product Development projects with a key focus on design compliance
- Lead compliance related product improvement design activities
- Identify emerging trends in design for sustainability and initiating projects to reduce the carbon footprint of our products and processes
- Prepare and review of drawings for submittal to notified bodies
- Responsible for the storage and upkeep of standards and product technical files
- Prepare of technical presentations for project engineering review
- Liaise with the wider design team and other internal departments
Requirements:
- Level 7 Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant background to FETAC Level 7
- Minimum of 2 years industrial experience in a relevant field
- Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
