Plant Electrician

Plant Electrician required for on-site role in Shannon, Co. Clare. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving growing manufacturing facilities, ensuring all electrical systems operate efficiently and safely. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment and machinery.
• Install, test and commission electrical systems and components in line with company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement electrical solutions for process improvements.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with Irish electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Assist in energy management and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified electrician with a valid trade certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience working as an Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with Irish electrical standards and regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

ADVANATAGEOUS:

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Previous experience in energy efficiency or sustainability projects.
