Principal Analog IC Design Engineer
Job Description
Principal Analog IC Design Engineer required by fabless semiconductor multinational in Dublin. You will play a critical role in designing and verifying high-performance RF and analog sub-systems, from concept through to volume production. You will contribute to cutting-edge technology development in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and verify RF and analog circuits and sub-systems (LNA, PA, VCO, PLL, Mixers, Bandgaps, LDOs, DC-DC converters, ADCs, DACs, etc.) up to 20GHz using advanced CMOS nodes (40nm and below).

Produce high-quality, production-ready analog/RF designs using industry best practices.

Create and maintain behavioral models (Verilog-A/AMS, SystemVerilog-RNM, Wreal) to simulate and validate block/system behavior.

Write verification plans and develop automated test benches.

Collaborate closely with IC layout engineers to optimize performance and layout quality.

Participate in cross-functional teamwork with digital, mixed-signal, software, applications, and test teams.

Conduct design reviews, ensure proper DFT, isolation, and power optimization techniques.

Support lab evaluation, test, and silicon characterization.

Mentor junior engineers and help drive productivity through better tools, methodologies and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or higher) in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

10+ years of relevant industry experience.

Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso and industry-standard analog/RF design flows.

Proven experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design on advanced CMOS nodes (40nm and below).

Strong experience in RF design and high-frequency circuit behavior.

Ability to work independently on complex tasks and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
