Program Manager required by successful IoT / Manufacturing company in Co. Clare where you will take responsibility for overseeing and managing a portfolio of projects within the Product Development Department, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A background within an electronics / manufacturing environment would be advantageous. This is a full-time, permanent position and is based fully on-site in Shannon.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5 year’s proven experience in programme or project management
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall and other project methodologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

ADVANTAGEOUS:

  • Project Management experience within an Electronic design & manufacturing environment is ideal
  • Understanding of high-volume manufacturing 
  • Project Management qualification an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a project management framework rooted in industry best practices while tailored to meet the specific needs of the business

  • Collaborate with project managers and technical leaders to ensure consistent application across all projects. This encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through high-volume manufacturing, spanning all functions

  • Develop detailed project plans delineating scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables for each project within the program

  • Create a robust process and tools for recording effort, estimating work and balancing demand with capacity

  • Prioritize activities and allocate resources efficiently to ensure project tasks are accomplished effectively and within budget

  • Forge and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and leadership, to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities

  • Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery

  • Monitor project budgets closely, making necessary adjustments to meet financial objectives

  • Implement stringent quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards and requirements

  • Foster clear and transparent communication among all stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle

  • Generate regular progress reports and presentations for executive leadership, spotlighting key milestones, accomplishments and challenges

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and the adoption of best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
