R&D Engineering Manager required by Industrial Electronics multinational in Cork to lead & execute projects, lead & motivate people in both domestic & international markets. 

Requirements:

• Honour’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• 8+ years experience in an electronics development environment
• 5+ years experience in leading/managing engineering projects and engineering teams
• Proven leadership experience
• Proven experience in developing and executing to project budgets
• Availability for some domestic and international travel of up to 20%

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver in dynamic environment through adaptability, creativity and effective decision making
• Empower, enable, motivate and develop others
• Manage multiple new product platforms, derivative products, sustaining activities while providing leadership, work direction for local teams
• Interact with sales and product management to complete customer enquiries or proposals in a timely manner
• Track and analyze critical program parameters to improve product development processes and quality
• Set and monitor objectives for direct reports or cross functional activities to enable objectives to be met
• Regularly report project status to all stakeholders; develop metrics and goals to monitor performance and effectiveness
