Senior Electronic Design Engineer
Job Description
Senior Electronic Design Engineer with 5+ years experience required in Dublin to work on cutting-edge design for the global semiconductor market. Reporting to the CTO, you will work alongside a collaborative & experienced team on the design & definitions of prototype and final products for the semiconductor market.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/MS in Electronic Engineering / Mechatronics / Related field
- 5+ years’ experience working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
- Experienced in design, development & test of analogue & digital circuits / PCBA
- Design for Test, Design for Manufacture
- Experience working to regulatory requirements CE/EMC/EMI
- Strong understanding of embedded software development (C/C++)
- Excellent communication (written & oral) and teamwork skills
- Analytical thinker with good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of RF design and integration considered a plus (WIFI, BLE)
- Experienced in various communication protocols considered a plus (I2C, UART, SPI)
Responsibilities:
- Design, development and test of hardware systems
- Creation of comprehensive design specifications
- Development of robust hardware architectures
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the systems meet functional and quality requirements.
- Collaborate closely across all R&D disciplines to guarantee the form and functional fit of new hardware sub-systems, facilitating their seamless integrations into a value-adding product
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the field.
- Lead projects from a technical standpoint, make autonomous decisions regarding hardware design choices
- Provide support and coaching to junior engineers
