Senior Electronic Design Engineer required for permanent role with growing electronics company in Co. Clare. Working with a collaborative team of design engineers, you will lead hardware development projects & work on the design & development of sophisticated instruments for global markets. This role can facilitate full time on site or a hybrid likely to be 40% from home and 60% onsite.

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years’ experience in customized electronic controls / sustaining / product design
  • Experience leading hardware development projects
  • Significant and relevant software development skills for embedded microcontrollers
  • Must have excellent customer communications skills as will work with a variety of customers on product modifications


  • Familiarity with standards (FCC / IC / RED / ATEX / EMC / UKCA / CE)
  • Experience with Atmel/PIC microcontrollers
  • Solid working knowledge of microcontroller interfacing including UI development (Graphic LCD, button, LEDs, Sensor’s etc)
  • Experience in SPI, I2C communications and wireless communications such as: GSM, GPRS, ISM, Mbus, WiFi, Sigfox, LoRa, ZigBee, Bluetooth
  • Understand digital and analogue circuit design, simulation, & analysis as appropriate to the project
  • Be up to date with regulatory and industry compliance requirements appropriate to the target market
