Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 3+yrs experience in Mechanical design role in industry required by innovative SpaceTech company in Limerick.

You will work as part of the design department and will be responsible for ensuring product designs and standards are met in accordance with departmental requirements and schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience, ideally in Mechanical design role.
• High level knowledge and experience in 3D design package 
• Highly motivated individual, dependable and thorough and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build, manage and maintain relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in daily CAD design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and prototyping tasks.
• Innovate and enhance existing mechanical systems by leveraging innovative strategies, creative insights and past engineering experiences.
• Take a hands-on, proactive approach to advancing product development within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Support team motivation, mentorship and skill enhancement while consistently meeting personal project deadlines.
• Lead prototype construction, testing, documentation and process development, ensuring comprehensive support documentation is produced.
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to enforce quality measures and standards, aiming for eventual scaling to high volume manufacturing.
