Senior Production Manager by high-volume manufacturing plant in Clare. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Ops, you will lead a team of 300 on the Evening Shift. You will be a highly valued member of the management team and will work within a collaborative environment with a focus on collaboration, communication, equality and personal development. To be considered, you need to be Degree Qualified, with experience managing a large team in a high-volume manufacturing setting. You should also have thorough knowledge of production management principles and experience in 5S, Kaizen and other Lean Methodologies
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, develop and direct the work of the team to meet safety, operational and quality standards
- Secure products are produced to a high quality and in accordance with their specification
- Deliver production output in accordance with the production schedule
- Management and development of a team of more than 300 employees
- Resource and capacity management to fulfil market expectations
- Identification and delivery of improvement projects
- Being a role model and ambassador for company values
Requirements:
- Degree in an Engineering, Science, Production or Project management discipline
- 7+ years’ experience managing a large team in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Thorough knowledge of production management principles
- Experience in 5S, Kaizen and other lean methodologies
- Results orientated with a proven track record in implementing change and improvements that positively impact the business
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Proven strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with all parts of our business
- Strong leadership and proven skill in developing people
