Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with proven experience in Quality Assurance within an Electronic Manufacturing environment required for permanent role with growing R&D IoT multinational in Wexford.

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for Design Verification Test, Production Verification Test, Process Improvement, Internal Audits & Supplier Quality Management.

Working with a cross-functional team working on the design of products for Industrial, IT, Household, Medical, Electro-Mobility and Solar Applications.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance within an Electronic Manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic Components, Circuits and Systems.
  • Able to read and analyse an Electronic Circuit Diagram.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electronic products. Experience with IPC-A-610.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality electronic products.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) is a plus.
  • Labview is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design Verification Test and Production Verification Test: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans protocols for electronic components and systems with the support of the developers.

  • Process Improvement and Internal Audits: Continuously evaluate and enhance quality assurance processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in electronic product manufacturing.

  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all electronic products meet regulatory and industry standards, such as ISO, RoHS and CE and that compliance documentation is maintained.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyse electronic product failures and defects to identify root causes. 

  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards, conduct audits and ensure the quality of electronic components sourced from external suppliers. 

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of quality assessments, test results and compliance documentation. Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and improvement initiatives.

  • Quality Training: Provide training and guidance to new team members and production staff on quality standards and best practices within the electronic environment.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in electronic product quality.

  • Quality Control Machine: Create new set-ups, program to automate sample testing of new product
