Senior SoC Architecture Engineer

Senior SoC Architecture Engineer required by innovative deep-tech company in Barcelona – to join a growing Architecture Team, which is responsible for defining top-level SoC design, driving security features and shaping key IP integrations. You will play a critical role in defining and enabling high-performance platforms and influencing the direction of next-generation computing.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IP/SoC design and architecture

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• Solid understanding of System on Chip (SoC) architectures and IP integration

• Experience with RTL development in Verilog/SystemVerilog

• Familiarity with the full ASIC development lifecycle: from architecture through synthesis, DFT, verification and silicon debug

• Experience with scripting and modeling using Python, C/C++

• Strong knowledge of SoC design tools and flows, including simulation and timing closure

• Fluent English speaker

• Self-starter, highly motivated and deeply collaborative

PREFERRED:

• Exposure to RISC-V architecture is a strong plus
• Fluent Spanish

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Define and deliver High-Level Architecture Specifications (HAS) and SoC requirements.

• Evaluate, integrate and guide the deployment of new IP blocks and drive system-wide architectural consistency.

• Collaborate across teams—supporting design, verification, software and silicon validation—to ensure architectural fidelity from concept to tape-out.

• Own top-level SoC concerns including security architecture and device packaging.

• Work with modeling and simulation environments to build architecture-level models and design examples, supported by high-quality technical documentation.

• Drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams to meet design schedules and ensure successful silicon bring-up.
