Sustainability ESG Lead

Sustainability ESG Lead required by MedTech multinational in Galway – to drive environmental, social & governance (ESG) strategy. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement ESG policies, coordinate sustainability initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to embed sustainability into everything we do.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead ESG Strategy: Coordinate the ESG Council’s activities, ensuring alignment with annual goals and reporting on progress.
• Drive Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and monitor sustainability programs, conduct risk and lifecycle assessments, and develop carbon reduction goals.
• Engage Stakeholders: Work closely with employees, customers, suppliers, regulators, and communities to foster collaboration and promote sustainability.
• Champion Change: Establish an ESG operating framework, embed sustainability into decision-making, and drive employee engagement.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business (Postgraduate qualification in Sustainability preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in an ESG role developing policies and leading sustainability projects.
• Strong communication, leadership & data analysis skills, with experience driving cross-functional ESG initiatives in an industrial setting.
