Technical Sales Engineer with a mechanical / electrical engineering background & strong interpersonal skills required for key role with growing engineering company in Louth. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to sell solutions to companies across multiple sectors
Responsibilities:
- Assist colleagues with bids, tenders and projects for the new and existing customers from a technical perspective
- Key point of contact for customers and provide both pre and after-sales advice
- Liaise regularly with other members of the sales team, management and colleagues from across the company
- Make and deliver convincing technical presentations and various sales enablement content to Demonstrate how a product meets customer needs
- Persuade customer that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
- Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs
- Calculate customer quotations and administer client accounts
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
- Arrange and carry out product training
- Analyse costs and sales support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
Requirements:

Degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical ideally

2+ years of relevant customer facing-experience within a mechanical or electrical engineering solutions environment

Experience in a commercial and/or sales environment to show you have the necessary sales and communication skills to accompany the technical knowledge

Excellent presentation and PowerPoint skills

Hands-on experience of CAD systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks and similar)

Team working ability, analytical and problem-solving skills

Candidates must hold EU Citizenship and /or authorised to work in Ireland
- Must hold a clean driver’s license
