Technical Sales Manager required by growing IoT (industrial electronics) company to lead & direct all business development & sales activity, nationally and globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting and delivering company budgets, sales revenue and profitability in line with business unit targets and overall business deliverables

  • Assisting in identifying new applications and markets for the existing range of products and services

  • Assisting the development of marketing and growth strategies / campaigns

  • Expanding the products and customer base to maximise sales and profitability in line with company deliverables

  • Implementing company marketing plans and initiatives

  • Management of existing customer accounts

  • Development of new customers and partners for our products and services in applicable territories

  • Explore and review new potential innovative sales verticals for our solutions, products and data services

  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers in continuing to build a growth pipeline

  • Provide guidance and oversight on market pricing for products and services

  • Manage all commercial activity – contracts and agreements with customers and partners

  • Drafting of ‘Data As A Service’ procedures, policies, proposals in line with company policy

  • Prepare and present business reports and updates to the management team in line with company objectives

  • Attend and exhibit at suitable and appropriate marketing / trade events to promote company products, services, and solutions

  • Advise on commercial and market trends in identifying applications / opportunities for exploration and adaption by the company

  • Report monthly on sales, sales prospects, and pipeline information to the management team

  • Meet revenue forecasts and requirements, ensuring all financial terms and conditions are met by customers

  • Monitor competition, industry trends and indicators in applicable sectors and applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years experience in sales or operations management

  • Demonstrated track record in technical sales – ideally electromechanical

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Direct and interactive computer skills and electronic business interfaces

  • Proactive and high-energy style

ADVANTAGEOUS:

  • Knowledge of and experience in various communications protocols – Cellular, LTE, RF, Wifi, LoRaWan
  • IoT hardware solutions-based experience
  • Industry & vertical knowledge in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Water/wastewater, Agri food & Waste
  • Cloud based or other data analytics experience
